We recognise that every client is different. Each is at a different point in their business journey. Each will have a different vision of what their business will look like when it’s ‘finished’. Each will want different things from the relationship they have with us.
5 Reasons To Work With Us
Here are the five most common challenges and reasons that bring our clients to us. It is by no means an exhaustive list, but most business owners will recognise at least one which is limiting the growth of their business right now.
Time – one of the most significant challenges a business owner will face is the amount of time they spend ‘working’. Everyone has the same number of hours in a day and yet some people seem to achieve so much more than others. We help our clients prioritise what needs to be done to achieve their objectives through planning their ‘ideal’ or ‘model’ week. Working in this way means time is spent on being productive and our clients tell us it makes them feel less stressed.
Profit – every organisation needs to make a profit. Without it there can be no investment for the future. Knowing what makes you unique and how you can offer better value to your prospects is essential if you’re going to be paid what you need to earn to cover your costs, earn what you deserve and make a profit. Knowing your competitors, knowing the value you can deliver to your clients and knowing what makes you unique allows you to position your business in the market so that it isn’t all about price when a client buys from you.
Not just coaching – because every client is has different aspirations for their business, we offer a blend of coaching (asking you the right questions to solidify the vision you have for your business), mentoring (helping you to develop the skills and knowledge that will take to you toward achieving your vison) and consultancy (sourcing some of the information you will need to make the right decisions in the route you want to take to achieve your objectives).
12-week cycles – we work with clients in 12-week cycles because we believe that in working toward a set of specific objectives across a short enough period to ensure the focus required to deliver. Our sessions are either fortnightly or three weeks in every four. But, irrespective of the session frequency, we ensure that our clients are committed to doing what is necessary to achieve their objectives – and we hold them accountable in a constructive and supportive way when things haven’t quite gone to plan.
Fees – unlike most business coaches, we work on a retainer with a ‘success fee’ payable once we have achieved the objectives we have agreed with our client at the start of our relationship. These fees are linked to specific, measurable, achievable, reviewable and timed (SMART) objectives, usually relating to increases in turnover or profit, the reduction of time working in the business or the implementation of new systems, processes or programs. This is important to someone using a coach for the first time and is often seen as us sharing the risk. Importantly our fees are tied to a reasonable return on investment (ROI).
